A decision to issue one time, $600 federal payments to Canadians with disabilities, in order to cover the extraordinary expenses they have incurred because of COVID-19, has finally received royal assent. But it’s too little, too late, and reaches too few.

Removing Barriers for People with Environmental Sensitivities(ES)
In the third review of the AODA, the Honourable David Onley recommends needed improvements to the Act. One of these improvements is the need to address accessibility for people who have environmental sensitivities (ES). During the public meetings Onley held while preparing his review, attendees outline the need for removing barriers for people with ES.

Disability Groups Demand Access to North Carolina’s Inaccessible Absentee Voting
Today, disability organizations filed a lawsuit against the North Carolina State Board of Elections (ââ) for excluding North Carolinians with disabilities from their Absentee Voting program.
